This tall Black Cottonwood is billed as one of the tallest. It is reflected here in the
Willamette River as it passes through an area where a Methodist Mission was
founded in the mid 1800's. There is nothing left of that now but there is something
quite unusual. A ferry that still operates and that crosses the river nearby.
