River Forks Park in Roseburg Oregon is where the North and South Umpqua rivers meet. This view is looking upriver on the South Umpqua. I do not often do color pencil paintings but it is a favorite way to work outdoors as there is so much less gear to carry. The image I come back to the Studio with is usually developed more later as colored pencil is so time consuming. In addition to being an art work in themselves small studies like this
I often use to work from for larger paintings.
